%X One of the primary issues for blockchain’s widespread adoption in society is the issue ofapplying traditional contract law to smart contracts. This is because certain elements of contract law arenot fully adapted to the formation of agreementswith the blockchain. White Paper, which is widelyused in other procedures for the placement of digital assets (ICO, IEO, IDO) can serve as an appropriateinstrument to explain blockchain code in valid legalmanner. This article investigates the interaction between lawand software by means of White Paper. According tothe author, approaching a White Paper and programcode as a unified concept could solve many practicalproblems, including the creation of a clear model ofICO smart contract formation, determination of thetime of ICO smart contract conclusion and ensuringconsistency between the White Paper and contractlaw requirements for the proper structure of contracts.
