The 6th International CopyCamp Conference is going to take place on September 28-29 in Warsaw under the theme „The Internet of Copyrighted Things".

The primary goal of CopyCamp 2017 is to broaden the scope of the debate about exclusive rights. The aim is to talk about culture, science, and education, but also to discuss how exclusive rights are used in, for example, health and food. These following issues will be addressed at the conference:

● business models, heritage digitization, remix
● health, food, security, and exclusive rights
● text and data mining, machine learning, online education
● IoT: autonomous cars, smart homes, wearables
● hacking government data, public procurement, public aid in culture

Workshops

Presentation sessions will be preceded by workshops, that will allow participants for an interactive, hands-on experiences. These will span across heritage digitization, EU copyright policy, open data and data science (biomedical data), preventing burn-out practices for hackers and activists, and rights management and building presence on YouTube for artists and publishers.
Workshops will take place at Centrum Kreatywności Targowa.
